Well, everyone, this is it; this is my last post. May 29th is the day we leave Israel. I will now tell you about our fun time in Eilat. Ah, our last free weekend and a few tiyulim.

Sunday, September 2, 2007. How big is that forrest? I was wondering how big a forrest near my house is. The idea was to take a google earth snapshot of it, draw a polygon around the forrest and have the computer calculate its acreage. There is a great Java-based GPLed software called Kosmo. You import a bitmap and draw the contours of the area, then Kosmo calculates the area of the resulting polygon.
